This time of year, March-ish, when most Canadians are sick and tired of winter, and we start to see little glimpses of warmer spring weather from time to time, is known for a certain yearly contest. Tim Hortons, the very Canadian coffee & donut shop, runs the Roll up the Rim to Win contest each year. Many a person's Facebook status gives updates as to their total prizes won compared to the number of cups bought. Many of us, myself included, lament the few number of times we seem to win compared to the 1 in 6 odds that are promised. And yet we continue to buy in hopes of winning the car or big money. Instead we wind up with a couple of free coffees & donuts. So I wanted to share my excitement with you at having won twice in the last two days ... after probably 15 cups of coffee (at least) over the last few weeks. Worth it? ... Probably not. But we all do it!
Got home from work today and saw how beautifully the sun was shining. Decided I couldn't just stay in the house, so I grabbed the dogs and we went for an hour's walk along the river. They had a blast running through the deep snow that fell this weekend!
