We've had a lot of rain the last couple of days & I had to race Friday night, so on went the good old rubber boots!
Breakfast on the backyard deck; waffles, fresh fruit, maple syrup, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, mimosas, coffee, tea . . . all with the sun shining down on us & a view of the park & river beyond. A beautiful way to celebrate my awesome dad!
A flurry of finches at my feeder Saturday morning. I believe the one with the red head is a male house finch. Not sure about the type of the other bird. Any ideas? She's got great eyebrows!
Little did I know this morning as I stopped to take some photos of the cutie-patootie sheep and their baby lambs on my way home from the cottage that it would result in being invited to sell this print through a silent auction happening next weekend! Wow.
A friend of mine is working with Ravenswing 2011; Ottawa’s Do-it-Yourself Craft and Zine Fair (https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=167913326603836). She contacted me today to ask if I would be interested in selling this piece at Sunday's event. Proceeds are split 50/50 between artist and event. If you're in Ottawa next Sunday May 29th, stop by Minto Park on Elgin St. between 11 and 4 to see lots of local artists on display. |
